On October 9, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., a roundtable entitled “The Rise of Domestic Violence in the Era of Social Media and AI” was held at the University’s Rome campus.
The event, organized within the framework of the PhD Programme in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, featured distinguished speakers.
The discussion brought together journalist and TV host Myrta Merlino, constitutional law scholar Anna Chimenti, senior officer of the Central Anti-Crime Directorate of the Italian State Police Marina Contino, and chief officer of the Postal and Cybersecurity Police Service Maria Rosaria Romano.
The conversation offered a comprehensive and multidisciplinary perspective on the evolving dynamics of domestic violence in the digital age, focusing in particular on the role and impact of social media and artificial intelligence on this alarming phenomenon.
